Revanth to Release Future City's Master Plan
The project is being developed by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) within FCDA limits.
Hyderabad:The Telangana government will unveil the comprehensive master plan for Bharat Future City in December, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy scheduled to release it at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026 to be held at the project site, official sources said on Tuesday.
Singapore-based Surbana Jurong has been tasked with preparing the master plan for the core Bharat Future City, while DP Architects will draft the plan for the entire Future City Development Authority (FCDA) area spanning 765 sq. km across 56 revenue villages in seven mandals of Ranga Reddy district.
The project is being developed by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) within FCDA limits. It has been conceived as a net-zero smart industrial city with provisions for energy-efficient systems, climate-responsive planning, green infrastructure, water reuse and sustainable development practices.
Officials said the release of the master plan would mark a key milestone in the development of Future City, which is being projected as a large integrated smart industrial city.
The global summit will be held at the campus of the Young India Skills University, which is under construction at the site and is expected to be completed by December.
According to sources, the project is being planned on a larger scale compared to existing industrial and economic hubs. Bharat Future City is proposed across 30,000 acres, while other projects cited by officials have been developed over smaller areas.
The government has positioned the project as a destination for global investment, with plans to create sector-specific zones and infrastructure aimed at attracting multinational companies.
Recently, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for an Amazon data centre in the project area. To expedite implementation, the FCDA has set up its office within the site to facilitate decision-making and services.
The project includes dedicated zones such as AI City, Health City, Life Sciences Hub, Education Zone, sports and entertainment zones, eco-tourism zone and industrial areas. A Global Capability Centre hub is also proposed.
Planning and approvals are to be managed through digital systems, including GIS-based platforms, real-time monitoring and online clearance mechanisms. The project also proposes single-window facilitation and aims to meet requirements for international funding from multilateral institutions.
