Revanth To Attend Congress’ Legal Conclave

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy left for New Delhi on Friday evening to participate in the AICC's annual legal conclave 2025, scheduled to be held on Saturday at Vigyan Bhavan.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy left for New Delhi on Friday evening to participate in the AICC's annual legal conclave 2025, scheduled to be held on Saturday at Vigyan Bhavan.

The conclave on “Constitutional Challenges — Perspective and Pathways” will see participation from top Congress leadership, including AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

Apart from Revanth Reddy, Chief Ministers Siddaramaiah from Karnataka and Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu from Himachal Pradesh, are also expected to attend the conclave.

The AICC has positioned the conclave as a platform for in-depth deliberation on the evolving challenges to the Constitution in contemporary India. The event is being held in the backdrop of the Congress’ consistent allegation that the Constitution is under assault under the BJP-led NDA government.

The conclave will feature 41 distinguished speakers, including the Chief Ministers, several former chief ministers, retired judges, eminent legal scholars, human rights defenders and law students. Senior Congress leaders K.C. Venugopal, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Jairam Ramesh, Mukul Wasnik, and party treasurer Ajay Maken will also address the gathering.

The party has extended invitations to legal professionals, academics, and students to join the day-long conclave, which will explore ways to safeguard democratic institutions, uphold constitutional values and protect citizens’ rights in the face of what the Congress terms increasing centralisation and authoritarianism under the current NDA regime.
