Revanth Takes Stock of Irrigation Projects, Seeks DPR Preparation for Tummidihatti
On the Tummidhatti barrage, the officials informed the Chief Minister that an agency picked for consulting on the project was on the job of preparing the DPR which is expected to be ready in three months.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday called for speeding up preparation of the detailed project report (DPR) for the barrage at Tummidihatti for the Pranahita-Chevella project. The Chief Minister’s directive came at a meeting with irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and senior department officials in the evening.
On the Tummidhatti barrage, the officials informed the Chief Minister that an agency picked for consulting on the project was on the job of preparing the DPR which is expected to be ready in three months. The Chief Minister directed to should get prepared to seek the required clearances for the project which will irrigate around two lakh acres in erstwhile Adilabad district.
The Chief Minister said there should be no delays in preparing the DPR and that officials should focus on the required land acquisition as the project as barrage was one of the priority projects for the government. He said that land acquisition process should be a priority for Palamuru-Rangareddy, Kalwakurthy, Sitarama-Sitammasagar, Rajiv Bima, and Makthal-Narayanpet-Kodangal and other irrigation projects that the government has planned to complete, it is learnt.
Revanth Reddy inquired about the progress being made on selecting a consultant for rehabilitation designs for Annaram, Sundilla and Medigadda barrages of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme and was informed that this task will be given to an agency that will partner with an IIT. Once the designs are ready, officials must be ready to start the work and in the meanwhile, take steps to complete associated works of the Kaleshwaram project.
Responding to officials informing that Rs.200 crore will be required for land acquisition and rehabilitation for the China Kaleshwaram project, the Chief Minister told the officials to submit the required paperwork and bills so that the government can release the funds.
Among the officials present were principal secretary. Irrigation. Rahul Bojja, secretary in the CMO K. Manickraj, ENC (general) Mohammad Amjad Hussain, and former ENC Sudhakar Reddy.
