Revanth Reddy Urges Bharti Enterprises to Fast-Track Chandanvelly Data Centre Project
Sunil Mittal announces Hyderabad as second headquarter for Airtel

Hyderabad: Prominent industrialist and Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, Sunil Bharti Mittal, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the Bodhi Pavilion, MCR HRD Institute here in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted Telangana's progressive governance, investor-friendly policies, and landmark reforms that have positioned the state as one of India's most preferred investment destinations.
The Chief Minister elaborated on the Government's transformative initiatives in the education sector, including the comprehensive revamp of government schools, the establishment of the Young India Skills University to equip youth with industry-relevant skills, the upgradation of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into world-class Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs), and the modernization of polytechnic colleges to meet emerging industry requirements.
Emphasizing Telangana's vision to become a global hub for digital infrastructure, the Chief Minister urged Bharti Enterprises to expedite the implementation of the Chandanvelly Data Centre Project. He also invited the company to explore establishing a large-scale integrated data centre and AI infrastructure campus in the state.
The Chief Minister encouraged Airtel to further expand its digital, cloud, cyber security, and artificial intelligence operations in Hyderabad. He also suggested that Bharati Enterprises nominate a senior executive to coordinate with the Telangana government to facilitate future investments and ensure the timely resolution of any operational issues.
Sunil Bharti Mittal appreciated the Telangana Government's forward-looking initiatives and announced that the Bharti Airtel Foundation would provide scholarships to students studying in government schools and Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs). He also informed the Chief Minister that Hyderabad is being considered as Airtel's second headquarters.
Mittal further expressed Bharti Enterprises' commitment to expanding its data centre capacity in Telangana and conveyed the company's keen interest in strengthening fibre connectivity across the state. Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao was also present during the meeting.
