Revanth Reddy to Distribute New Ration Cards on Aug. 15
The State-level inaugural function will be held at Sangareddy, where the Chief Minister will formally commence the distribution of the new ration cards

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will distribute newly sanctioned and laminated Public Distribution System (PDS) ration cards on August 15 on the occasion of 79th Independence Day.
In an office memorandum, Minister for Irrigation, Food & Civil Supplies, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Chief Minister has approved the programme schedule for the State-wide launch. The State-level inaugural function will be held at Sangareddy, where the Chief Minister will formally commence the distribution of the new ration cards.
Simultaneously, similar distribution programmes shall be organized in all the 119 Assembly Constituencies across Telangana. In every constituency, the programme shall be coordinated by a designated Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), with all necessary support from the District Administration and the Civil Supplies Department.
Since the Independence Day flag hoisting celebrations will be held during the morning hours and the Chief Minister is required to attend the At Home function at Raj Bhavan at 5.30 pm, all constituency-level ration card distribution programmes shall be conducted between 2 pm and 4 pm on August 15.
Accordingly, all officers concerned are requested to make comprehensive arrangements well in advance and ensure the successful conduct of the programme.
