Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of the state for giving the Congress party a sweeping victory in the recently held municipal elections across 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said the triumph was the result of the tireless efforts of lakhs of Congress workers who carried the party flag and took government welfare schemes to the grassroots. He dedicated the victory to party cadres, describing it as a testimony to their commitment and public support for the Congress.
Revanth Reddy said the people’s verdict reflected their complete approval of the state government’s two years of “people-centric governance,” focused on welfare of the poor and middle class, along with development initiatives backed by long-term planning and execution.
“The responsibility on us has now increased further,” he said, adding that the government would remain committed to the state’s development, public welfare, and transparent administration. He assured that every municipality and municipal corporation would be developed on a large scale in the coming years, and that the trust reposed by the people would be upheld.
