Revanth Slams Police Action on Students Protesting NEET Paper Leak
Alleges use of force to silence youth; demands accountability and end to police brutality
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday condemned the alleged police action against students protesting over the NEET paper leak issue in New Delhi.
Reacting to visuals of students being lathi-charged and tear-gassed during a march towards Parliament, he said youth from across India who gathered to demand justice were being subjected to force. He accused the Central government of attempting to silence students whose future has been put at risk due to examination irregularities.
“The government is using police force to suppress the voices of students,” he said, adding that such actions reflect a fear of accountability and democratic dissent.
Expressing solidarity, the Chief Minister said he stands firmly with the protesting students and called for an immediate end to police brutality. He also demanded accountability in the alleged NEET and other examination paper leak scandals.
