AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, ISRO chairman Dr. V. Narayanan, and IN-SPACe chairman Dr Pawan Goenka also commended the team for their efforts

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday extended heartfelt congratulations to Skyroot Aerospace on the successful test flight of Vikram1 under Mission Aagaman, an orbital-class launch vehicle developed entirely with indigenous technology.

Congratulating the Hyderabad-based space-tech startup on this landmark achievement, the Chief Minister described the success of Vikram-1's Test Flight-1 — Mission Aagaman as a historic milestone for India's space sector and a moment of immense pride for Telangana.

He commended Skyroot Aerospace for demonstrating the nation's growing technological prowess and spirit of innovation in space exploration. Recalling his visit to Skyroot Aerospace in April this year, the Chief Minister noted that he had flagged off the transportation of the Vikram-1 flight hardware to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, ahead of the Mission Aagaman launch campaign.

He observed that the successful test launch marks a defining milestone in Telangana's journey towards becoming a global hub for aerospace and space technology.

The Chief Minister further stated that this remarkable achievement reinforces Telangana's position as India's premier destination for aerospace innovation, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation space technologies. He expressed confidence that such milestones will significantly advance the State's vision of emerging as a globally recognized leader in the aerospace sector while inspiring a new generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.

“Reaching for the skies… it is a proud day for India, and even greater pride for Hyderabad,” Revanth Reddy said in a post on 'X'.

Telangana is where India’s space dreams take shape. Congratulations to the entire Skyroot team — Hyderabad’s innovation ecosystem continues to lead the nation into the future.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also congratulated the team. “Heartiest congratulations to Skyroot, ISRO, IN-SPACe, NSIL, and the thousands of scientists, engineers, technicians, and partners whose vision, perseverance, and excellence made this remarkable achievement possible,” Naidu said in a post on ‘X’.

Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman, ISRO said: "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Team Skyroot on the successful accomplishment of the Vikram-1 mission. This achievement is the outcome of years of innovation, perseverance and engineering excellence, and reflects the growing maturity of India's private space sector. It is encouraging to see Indian industry translating technological capability into launch capability, complementing our national space programme. ISRO and IN-SPACe remains committed to working closely with industry partners to build a vibrant, globally competitive space ecosystem that advances India's space ambitions."

Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman, IN-SPACe commented: "This is a proud day, not just for Skyroot but for the whole country. Only a handful of nations can reach space on their own, and today a private Indian company joined that exclusive club. What lifted off today is culmination of years of work, a team of over a thousand people, and efforts of close to four hundred suppliers with it. Congratulations to team Skyroot. You have given us an India moment."
