Revanth Reddy warned of strict action against anyone attempting to disturb peace and harmony

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday directed officials to identify and detain Pakistan and Bangladesh nationals residing illegally in the state. Stating that illegal migrants posed a threat to law and order, he directed the police to set up a dedicated communication system within the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Banjara Hills to monitor their activities.

He warned of strict action against anyone attempting to disturb peace and harmony. Revanth Reddy called for tightening security at all foreign consulates in Hyderabad and enhancing protective measures around IT companies, while speaking at a review meeting with top police offiers in the wake of Operation Sindoor,

Leaves for employees in emergency service departments were cancelled, with instructions for all staff and officials to remain available. Ministers and officials were asked to cancel foreign trips to focus on the situation. The Chief Minister called for political unity, urging parties to support the defence forces and avoid inflammatory rhetoric. He warned government employees against making controversial statements in the media or on social platforms, cautioning of strict disciplinary action.

All CCTV cameras across the three police commissionerates of Greater Hyderabad must be integrated into the central command system, the CM directed. Police personnel have been asked to remain on high alert and engage with peace committees to maintain communal harmony. He asked officials to intensify surveillance in all district headquarters and other sensitive zones.
To combat the spread of misinformation, Revanth Reddy said a 24/7 toll-free number will be launched, along with a dedicated special cell to curb fake news and prevent panic. Cybersecurity measures are also being reinforced, he added. Officials were instructed to stock emergency medicines and blood supplies, ensure the availability of hospital beds and strengthen coordination with the Red Cross. Food reserves will also be boosted to meet any emergency needs, the CM said.

In a related development, Revanth Reddy along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, reviewed post-mock drills situation in the state on Wednesday. The CM and Deputy CM have instructed officials to implement stringent security measures to avoid any untoward incidents and ensure public safety. Their focus is to ensure that all departments coordinate effectively and work in unison, preventing disruptions to public services.

"All departments must be on high alert and fully coordinated, especially in these critical times," said CM Revanth, urging officials to take proactive measures in order to prevent any inconvenience to the general public.

The CM stressed the need for the uninterrupted flow of essential goods. He also made it clear that emergency services, including healthcare and fire services, should operate seamlessly without any disruption.

A major aspect of the review was centreed around bolstering security in specific high-risk areas. The Chief Minister and Deputy CM ordered the implementation of enhanced security measures around defence installations within Hyderabad jurisdiction. Security measures were also mandated at all defence-related institutions in the state, particularly in the city.

He asked officials to tighten security in and around the Shamshabad irport with additional checks and personnel. Special attention was also given to foreign diplomatic missions in Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy and Bhatti also stressed the importance of providing adequate protection to foreign tourists visiting Telangana.

On the intelligence front, both the CM and Deputy CM highlighted the need for heightened coordination between state intelligence agencies and central intelligence teams to maintain a comprehensive surveillance network. It was decided to set up a centralised information system at the ICCC to ensure real-time monitoring of all security operations.
