Revanth, Ministers To Attend ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ Maha Rally in Delhi

Party targets alleged vote theft, EC bias as national protest gathers momentum

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with several ministers, will participate in the Congress’ ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ maha-rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on December 14. The protest is aimed at highlighting what the party describes as large-scale “vote theft” and manipulation of electoral processes by the BJP and the Election Commission.

The rally, led by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and attended by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, is positioned as a call to “reclaim Indian democracy.” Congress leaders say the event sought to draw national attention to alleged irregularities in recent elections, including those in Maharashtra, Haryana and Bihar.

As part of the build-up, the Congress conducted a nationwide signature campaign against alleged electoral malpractice. The party’s youth and women wings have been actively mobilising supporters online, projecting the rally as a defining moment in the fight to safeguard democratic values.

In Telangana, the party high command instructed the TPCC to collect 25,000 signatures from each district by December 8. Newly appointed DCC presidents were directed to complete the task within the deadline. The TPCC is scheduled to present its report on the signature drive to Rahul Gandhi on the day of the rally.

The Congress has intensified its criticism of the Election Commission, accusing it of functioning as a “blatantly partisan player” and undermining the level playing field guaranteed to all parties. The party states that “vote chori” poses a grave threat to the country’s democratic framework.
