Telangana delegation had detailed one-on-one meetings with various Japanese business houses and conglomerates

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday invited Japanese companies to invest in Telangana’s urban infrastructure and environmental projects such as the Musi rejuvenation project, Regional Ring Road (RRR), radial roads, Metro Rail expansion, and the ambitious Future City.
In a historic first, Revanth Reddy inaugurated Telangana’s exclusive pavilion at the prestigious Osaka Expo in Japan on Monday, making Telangana the first Indian state to present at the global event. Accompanied by industries and IT minister D. Sridhar Babu, the Chief Minister also became the first from Telangana to visit the expo, symbolising a new era of international outreach for the state.
Addressing top industrialists and stakeholders from Osaka's business community, Revanth Reddy stressed Telangana’s dynamic investment environment. “KonniChiwa. Namaskaram. I am delighted to be in Osaka, where tradition meets the future. We are here to transform our historic friendship into long-term partnerships, to design the future together,” he said.
Highlighting Telangana’s investor-friendly policies, he added, “We offer policy stability, unparalleled ease of doing business, and world-class infrastructure. Several Japanese firms are already thriving in Telangana. We invite many more to come, design in Hyderabad, manufacture in Telangana, and make it your launchpad for India and global exports.”
Sridhar Babu highlighted the state’s support mechanisms including single-window approvals and customised incentives. “Beyond policies, we offer partnerships. Our government walks the extra mile with investors,” he said.
He spotlighted Hyderabad’s growing stature as a global hub for IT, life sciences, aerospace, and defence. “With the vision of the Chief Minister, we are creating India’s first Net Zero industrial city, the Future City across 30,000 acres, in collaboration with Japan’s Marubeni Corporation,” he said.
He further outlined massive infrastructure projects like the 370-km Regional Ring Road, Radial Roads, and a dry port that would support major manufacturing and export activity, especially in sectors like EVs, semiconductors, and energy storage.
IT special chief secretary Jayesh Ranjan presented Telangana’s educational push, introducing the Young India Skills University aimed at fostering quality talent with values of discipline and lifelong learning.
Revanth Reddy concluded the session on an optimistic note: “Like the sun rising over Osaka Bay, a new chapter is beginning in Telangana. Together, let us build something timeless, for Osaka, for Telangana, for the world.”
The Telangana delegation also engaged in strategic one-on-one meetings with major Japanese conglomerates to explore investment and collaboration opportunities.
