Revanth Going Slow on Palamuru To Please ‘Old Boss’ Babu: KTR
KTR accuses CM Revanth Reddy of stalling PRLIS to please Chandrababu Naidu

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday said his party was more than prepared to take on the government in the Assembly on any issue related to irrigation, and wondered if Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was going slow on the Palamuru Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme (PRLIS) to please his “old boss”, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, as well as fearing that the credit for the project, if completed, would go to former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
“Revanth appears to be apprehensive about drawing water from the Krishna river for the project, lest it anger Chandrababu Naidu. That is why not only has the project been kept in cold storage, even canals are not being excavated,” he said. Rama Rao, during a chat with reporters in the Assembly, said the neglect of the PRLIS by the Congress was “wilfiul”
Rama Rao said accepting allocation of only 45 tmc ft of water for the project would be detrimental for Telangana. “Water management is not something one can master by studying a file for four days; it requires love for the state,” Rama Rao said.
Rama Rao said that besieged by allegations of corruption and irregularities, Revanth Reddy was resorting to abusive language to divert attention.
On the GHMC delimitation, Rama Rao said there was widespread speculation about splitting the corporation into three parts and converting the so-called ‘Fourth City’ into a separate corporation. The “arbitrary delimitation” appears to be purely for financial gains, allegedly on the advice of merchant bankers and brokers, Rama Rao claimed.
