Revanth: Distribute School Uniforms by Aug.15

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to distribute uniforms to students in all government schools, welfare and residential schools by August 15 and seek feedback from every student regarding the quality, size, and other aspects through WhatsApp after the distribution. The Chief Minister said that the quality, colour and other factors for the 2027-28 academic would be finalised based on the students’ feedback.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to formulate an action plan to ensure that students received their uniforms by June 2 from next year. At a meeting to review the supply of uniforms to students, the Chief Minister warned of strict action against the officials if they failed to fulfill the targets in the distribution of the uniforms.

Revanth Reddy instructed Divya Devarajan, chief executive officer of SERP (Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty) to coordinate with district collectors to accelerate the stitching work undertaken by women self help groups (SHGs).

Revanth Reddy noted that there were huge irregularities in the distribution of uniforms to students during the previous BRS government's tenure and said the Congress administration was overhauling the system and ensuring the supply of high-quality uniforms. Officials should keep in mind that the government's efforts were aimed at the welfare of children from poor families.

Government adviser P. Sudarshan Reddy, special chief secretary Sabyasachi Ghosh, CM's principal secretary N. Sridhar, CM’s OSD Vemula Srinivasulu, and senior officials including Bala Maya Devi, Shafi Ulla, Vijayendra Boyi from various departments participated in the meeting.
