Revanth Celebrates Dasara With His Native Villagers
Joins local rituals, Bathukamma, and meets people in the Kodangal constituency

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy celebrated Dasara with traditional fervour in his ancestral village, Kondareddypally of Nagarkurnool district, on Thursday, and in his home constituency, Kodangal, on Friday.
The Chief Minister’s visit turned into a festive homecoming as villagers lined the streets to welcome him with garlands, flower showers and cultural performances. Women sang folk songs and organised Bathukamma, adding colour to the Navaratri celebrations coinciding with Dasara.
Revanth Reddy began the day by offering special prayers at the Anjaneyaswamy Temple in Kondareddypally on Thursday, accompanied by his family members, including his grandson.
He later walked with villagers to the Kota Maisamma temple, performed special prayers to the Goddess, and then participated in the traditional Shami puja under the Jammichettu, highlighting his bond with local customs.
After the rituals, he greeted residents, party workers and local leaders, exchanging festival wishes and enquiring about their welfare. The event had a strong community flavour, with hundreds of villagers turning up to witness the Chief Minister’s participation in the festivities.
On Friday, continuing the celebrations in Kodangal, Revanth Reddy met the people of his constituency and exchanged Dasara wishes. His presence drew large crowds who jostled to take selfies and offer greetings.
Later, Revanth Reddy visited the residence of Waqf Board member Yousuf where he had lunch and interacted with local community representatives. Officials from the constituency, party cadre and people also joined the programme, turning it into a public outreach exercise.
