Revanth Accuses KTR of Chasing Away Kavitha To Avoid Sharing Property
CM alleges KCR stayed silent as Kavitha was sidelined in family property dispute
Warangal: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy accused BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao of chasing away his own sister K. Kavitha to avoid sharing the property amassed by his father and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Drawing parallels with his brotherly affection towards Panchayat Raj minister Dasari ‘Seethakka’ Anasuya, the Chief Minister at public meetings at Mulugu and Parkal said he and the Congress had showered love and affection on Seethakka and rewarded her with a ministry for the hard work she had put in, but Rama Rao had driven his own sister to enjoy the property.
Revanth Reddy found fault with Chandrashekar Rao for remaining a silent witness instead of disciplining Rama Rao and lending a helping hand to Kavitha in her hour of need. “He (KCR) played Dhritarashtra and preferred to stay put in his farmhouse when Kavitha was shown the door,” Revanth Reddy said, adding that the least that the people expected of him was that he would do justice, but that was not done.
The Chief Minister reiterated his allegation that BRS leaders had sold the blood that was donated during a drive launched by Rama Rao as a symbolic protest to demand pumping of water into the Kaleswaram lift irrigation scheme system. Both Rama Rao and Harish Rao skipped the blood donation drive. Their party leaders sold blood collected from poor workers to private hospitals and made money, Revanth Reddy alleged.
This was second time that the Chief Minister levelled serious allegations of BRS leaders selling the donated blood. Both Rama Rao and Harish Rao, who otherwise react to every statement that Revanth Reddy makes, have remained silent on the issue, sources noted.
