Rev Minister Stresses Welfare, Development in Khammam
He added that Telangana was being taken on the path of development through various projects, with the sole aim of standing on top in welfare and growth nationwide.

Nalgonda:Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday said the state government was working with the goal of placing Telangana at the forefront in welfare and development.
Laying the foundation stone for a BT road from Perikasingram to Mallaigudem at a cost of ₹2.52 crore and participating in the groundbreaking ceremony of a gram panchayat office building at Mallaigudem in Khammam district, he said welfare of the poor was accorded top priority in the government’s agenda. He added that Telangana was being taken on the path of development through various projects, with the sole aim of standing on top in welfare and growth nationwide.
Referring to predictions of deficit rainfall due to the El Niño effect, he advised farmers to cultivate irrigated dry (ID) crops instead of traditional crops requiring steady irrigation.
Later, at a review meeting with officials in his camp office at Kusumanchi, the minister directed them to speed up implementation of welfare schemes and development programmes in his Palair constituency. He said officials had the responsibility to ensure timely delivery of benefits to beneficiaries.
He sought details on the number of works sanctioned, those that had completed tendering, those commenced and those currently in progress. He instructed officials to remove obstacles hindering stalled tenders and complete the process immediately.
He made it clear that officials must formulate an action plan to ensure development works are completed on schedule, adding that coordination among departments would play a crucial role in achieving rapid progress.
