Retired SI’s Son Dies After Party; Father Suspects Foulplay
Police probe the death of Krishna Koundinya, who was taken unconscious from a farmhouse to hospital

According to Ghatkesar police, the deceased was Krishna Koundinya, a BTech student at Keshava Memorial College in Narayanaguda. He left his house in Uppal Bhagayath around 7.30 pm on Saturday with his friend Ghankot Rishab to attend the party.
Krishna’s father, C. Praveen Kumar, 61, said his son was studying when his friend came to pick him up. As Krishna was going out, he asked his father for ₹500. Kumar said he did not have cash and asked his son to approach his mother. Krishna took the money and left — their last conversation.
According to the complaint, Rishab called Kumar around 10 am on Sunday and informed him that Krishna was unconscious at the farmhouse and had been taken to the government hospital in Ghatkesar. Kumar rushed to the hospital, where doctors told him his son had already died by the time he was brought there.
The father questioned why the family was informed only the following morning and what had transpired the previous night. He also disputed claims that his son consumed alcohol, stating that Krishna neither drank nor ate meat.
“We will cooperate with the investigation procedures and seek justice,” he said.
Ghatkesar police registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which mandates inquiry into unnatural deaths. The cause of death and the circumstances leading to it are yet to be established. Further investigation is underway.
