Hyderabad: Students at the Sathavahana boys’ hostel of Resonance junior college in Madhapur protested late Tuesday after they allegedly found worms in their food.
The protest began with around 20 to 30 students sitting outside the hostel in protest, who later got into an argument with the hostel management. Students allegedly also broke window panes and damaged the gate during the unrest.
While no official complaint was registered, police were called to the spot to control the situation. Students alleged that the issue was not limited to one meal and complained about poor food quality and hygiene at the residential facility. Some students claimed that they objected after finding worms in rice and cockroaches in sambar.
