RERA Protects Buyer’s Interests
The developer, Vajra Prekon Estates, and its marketing partner FMG Property Floor told the RERA that the plot’s ownership was complicated and involved many landowners.

Hyderabad:The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has ordered Vajra Prekon Estates against selling or transferring a plot in its Maheshwaram project after a buyer complained that she paid nearly Rs 38 lakhs but the property was not registered in her name.
Mounika Jonnavittula, the buyer, said that she paid full amount for Plot No. 136 in the Balaji Gardens (Mithila E-City) layout, which is registered with RERA. She also showed a receipt and an agreement that promised registration by December 31, 2024. When the registration didn’t happen, the developer gave her a post-dated cheque for a refund but it was bounced as the bank account was blocked.
The developer, Vajra Prekon Estates, and its marketing partner FMG Property Floor told the RERA that the plot’s ownership was complicated and involved many landowners. They claimed they tried to register the plot but couldn’t do it yet.
After hearing both sides, RERA said the buyers claim was genuine and there was a risk that the developer might sell the plot to someone else. So the authority ordered the company to not sell or change anything on the plot until the final hearing. The case will be heard again on June 12.
