Police said a pan shop, tea point and bakery were allegedly damaged.

Hyderabad:A dispute over rent and use of premises involving Lucky Multicuisine Restaurant near Pillar No. 1723 in Madhapur led to cases being registered against both the building owners and the restaurant operator.
According to police, restaurant operator Mohammed Mansoor Ali, who had been running the restaurant for about six years, received a call from his worker Ali on Friday informing him that some persons were allegedly damaging the premises. Mansoor, along with his wife Rehana Begum, reached the spot and allegedly found Hari, Ravi and others, including some women, using am excavator to damage portions of the premises.
Police said a pan shop, tea point and bakery were allegedly damaged. When Mansoor and his wife tried to intervene, they were allegedly abused and threatened. Some women allegedly assaulted Rehana Begum. The group also obstructed Mansoor and attempted to snatch his mobile phone when he was recording the incident. A case was registered at Madhapur police station against the building owners and others, and investigation is underway.
Police said Mansoor had taken the premises on lease from Ravi, Hari and others and allegedly had not paid rent for the past few months. The dispute subsequently escalated, with the owners allegedly damaging the approach road and obstructing access to the restaurant.
In a separate incident, at around 12.10 am on Friday, Madhapur patrol police allegedly found Mansoor, his wife and others sitting on the road near a petrol pump close to the restaurant, obstructing the patrol vehicle and traffic. They allegedly obstructed police personnel from discharging their duties. A case was registered against Mansoor and others. Police also said the restaurant’s FSSAI licence was suspended on September 26 over food‑safety and hygiene deficiencies noticed during an inspection.
