Yadadri: Hazelo Pharma Blast Kills 2

Yadadri: Two workers died and 6 injured in reactor blast took place in Hazelo pharma company at Donthigudem , Bhoodan Pochampally mandal of Yadadri Bhongir district late Friday night.
The two deceased were identified as Rajashekar and Nagaraju, who succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The injured were shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad. The condition of two others is said to be critical.
Locals, who heard the sounds and noticed thick flames erupting from the industry, alerted the authorities. The company’s fire engines initially tried to douse the blaze.
Police and fire personnel reached the spot immediately.
Fire engines were pressed into service and efforts were made to bring the blaze under control.
On July 16, an employee, Krishna Reddy, a native of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, died in the same industry following the release of poisonous gas from a reactor.
Locals expressed deep anguish over the fire accident at the same unit within a span of three months. Locals alleged that despite repeated incidents the officials were failing to take strict action and ensure proper safety protocols in the pharma company. They urged the authorities to conduct a thorough inspection of the unit and take against those responsible for lapses in safety measures.
