Rangareddy: 2 Minors Held For Theft; 8 Bikes Recovered
Two minors were arrested for their alleged involvement in vehicle thefts in Mailardevpally and the surrounding regions by the police.
Hyderabad: Police have taken into custody two juvenile offenders who were involved in a series of two-wheeler thefts in Mailardevpally in Rangareddy district. Based on CCTV footage, police identified the accused and kept a watch on their movements before apprehending them.
In the early hours of the 20th of this month, an Activa parked in front of a house in TNGOs Colony was stolen. Police also found that they had stolen a speaker from a nearby Ganesh pandal at the same time. Based on complaints from the victims, cases were registered, and an investigation was taken up.
Police examined the available CCTV footage and identified two boys who were seen moving suspiciously. During interrogation, it came to light that they were involved in a series of thefts targeting two-wheelers in various areas under the Mailardevpally limits.
Police have recovered a total of eight two-wheelers from the two minors. Investigation revealed that they had lifted bikes parked in front of houses and at other places. Police are taking steps to identify the stolen vehicles and hand them over to their owners. They are also investigating whether the juveniles were involved in more thefts.
