Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender, Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekar Reddy and former MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao also raised complaints against the illegal trash dumping in the graveyard. Commissioner Ranganath said minister G. Sridhar Babu spoke to GHMC commissioner K. Ilambarithi about the issue, and asked the authorities to resolve it at the earliest.
Ranganath said “Ramky was allotted around 2 acres of land, but we got complaints that they have encroached on to 4 acres of government land and raised structures. We ordered Ramky to stop the dumping and construction works immediately.”
Locals have complained about foul smell from the area due to the trash. Ranganath assured them that he would inform the government on moving the garbage dumping yard away from the residential areas.
