HYDERABAD: In a bid to strengthen the BJP’s grassroots network, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao is going to embark on his second major district tour. After recent visits to Suryapet, Nalgonda and Kodad — where the BJP is gradually gaining traction in south Telangana — Ramchander Rao will now focus on the erstwhile Medak district.
According to party sources, he will undertake a whirlwind tour of Medak on July 18, beginning with a morning departure from Hyderabad. His first stop will be the Narsapur constituency, where he will address a meeting of party cadre.
He will then visit the renowned Edupayala temple in Medak and perform puja, reflecting the BJP’s efforts to engage with religious and cultural communities in the region. Later in the day, he will address a core workers’ meeting in Medak town.
In a move aimed at broadening the party’s outreach, Ramchander Rao will also meet with representatives from various professional associations, including legal, medical and retired personnel. His tour will conclude with receptions by party workers at Chegunta and Toopran towns, part of the BJP’s strategy to expand its footprint across key areas within Medak.
