Rains Bring Relief, IMD Issues Warnings
Several localities in Hyderabad experienced brief spells of rain during the afternoon and evening hours.

HYDERABAD: Light to moderate rainfall was recorded across Hyderabad on Sunday, bringing much‑needed relief from the recent warm and humid weather. While the city witnessed mainly light showers, a number of districts across Telangana received moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds.
Several localities in Hyderabad experienced brief spells of rain during the afternoon and evening hours. Shamshabad, LB Nagar, Balapur, Quthbullapur, Uppal and other areas saw light showers, creating cooler and more pleasant conditions for residents. Cloudy skies prevailed in many areas throughout the day, reducing the intensity of the summer heat.
In some parts of the state, however, stronger rain and winds disrupted normal activity for a short period. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad issued orange warnings to Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Rajanna Sircilla and Ranga Reddy districts, and yellow warnings to Adilabad, Jagtial, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mahbubnagar, Mancherial, Medak, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Siddipet and Vikarabad districts.
Districts also saw gusty winds of 40 to 50 km/h along with the rains, adding to the chaos. IMD said, “The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of west‑central and entire north‑east Bay of Bengal. Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, Maharashtra, Karnataka and some parts of Telangana during the next 2–3 days.”
