Floods hit roads and homes as IMD warns of more rain in the next 3 days

Hyderabad: Telangana has been grappling with heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours, leading to waterlogging on roads, flooding in low-lying areas and disruptions in daily life. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the downpour will continue for the next three days, prompting authorities to take extra precautions in an attempt to mitigate the damage.

According to the latest weather bulletin from the IMD, districts such as Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahbubabad, Warangal and Hanamkonda are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall till Thursday. Few districts, including Bhupalapally and Mulugu, are on high alert until Thursday, with others facing similar conditions until Friday. The state can also expect thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds during this period.
