Holiday declared for schools in Medchal Malkajgiri

Hyderabad: The Medchal Malkajgiri district administration has declared a holiday for all schools today in view of a heavy rain forecast. The decision was taken after district collector Mikkilineni Manu Choudary held a meeting with officials to review the administration’s preparedness. The IMD’s Meteorological Centre has issued a red alert for several parts of Telangana for two days from Wednesday. Officials said more than 2,000 schools across the district would remain closed on Thursday as a precautionary measure.
Holiday has also been declared for all schools in Vikarabad, Sangareddy and Medak districts on Thursday.
