Rahul, Priyanka, Revanth to Lead Congress' Global Justice Pitch at Bharat Summit Today
The event will culminate in the release of the Hyderabad Declaration during Friday’s plenary session

Hyderabad: The stage is set for the inaugural Bharat Summit 2025, a global conclave that will witness the convergence of over 450 international delegates from more than 100 countries at the HICC Novotel in Hyderabad on Friday. Hosted by the Telangana government, the two-day summit will underline the Congress’ moral pitch for a new world order centred on justice, inclusion and democratic values.
Timed to mark 140 years of the Indian National Congress and 70 years since the Bandung Conference, the ideological cornerstone of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the summit carries deep historical resonance. The theme, 'Delivering Global Justice’, echoes Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's NYAY doctrine, rooted in Gandhian principles like Swaraj, Ahimsa, Satya and Aparigraha, offering an alternative vision for a fractured world.
The key speakers will be Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Alongside AICC stalwarts, they will articulate a global call for equity while showcasing Telangana’s social justice initiatives and progressive governance, such as SC sub-categorisation, caste census, enhanced OBC reservations and social welfare schemes that aim to empower the marginalised.
Revanth Reddy, in a statement, called the summit “one of the most defining moments for Telangana in delivering global justice,” asserting Hyderabad's emergence as a hub for democratic dialogue and policy innovation.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka described the summit as “a vital platform for collaboration at a time when the world is grappling with challenges to justice, equity, and democratic values.”
The summit will feature high-level panel discussions, bilateral closed-door meetings, and thematic sessions addressing key issues such as ecological justice, gender equity, youth empowerment, multilateralism, and combating disinformation.
The event will culminate in the release of the Hyderabad Declaration during Friday’s plenary session, where Rahul Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge will deliver keynote speeches. The Valedictory Session on Day 2 will see addresses by Priyanka Gandhi and AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal.
Prominent global figures like Jorge Taiana of Argentina, Clara López Obregón of Colombia, Emilio Lozada of Cuba, Malaysia’s M. Kula Segaran, and Sweden’s Ann Linde will be among the dignitaries present. Congress leaders, including Digvijaya Singh, Pawan Khera, Supriya Shrinate, Salman Khurshid, and T.S. Singh Deo will also play key roles in various sessions.
