Rahul must appoint BC CM: Raghunandan

Hyderabad: c criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for basing large claims on the state’s caste census without taking any action on the findings. He urged the Congress leader to appoint a BC leader as Chief Minister and fill the six vacant ministerial positions in the Telangana Cabinet with the lawmakers from the community.
Raghunandan Rao termed as false reports in a section of media which stated that Telangana could not get funds from the Centre in the Union Budget, and said that Regional Ring Road (RRR) alone got Rs.20,000 crore from the Centre.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha during a motion of thanks to the President's address, Raghunandan Rao questioned why there were only ministers from the BC community in the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government, despite they constituting half of the state’s population. He also raised concerns over the exclusion of a minority community member in the Cabinet.
Reciting a poem by Enugu Laxmana Kavi that read — people are of three types, lower level people lack the motivation to initiate tasks, middle-level people may begin projects but struggle to see them through, while higher-level ones not only start projects but also persist through challenges to complete them — Raghunandan Rao alleged that Rahul Gandhi belonged to the first category who speaks big but will not carry out any work.
The MP then likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the final category as he had inducted 27 OBC members, eight Dalits, eight women and five minority members in his Cabinet. “Modi government increased the budgetary allocation for farmers and the employment guarantee programme and addressed the concerns of middle-class people,” he added.
