Public Trust Foundation of Policing, Says Cyberabad CP

Dr Ramesh also urged officers to prioritise community policing and work closely with citizens to resolve local issues. He also said, “SIs must ensure transparency and impartiality in investigations.

Hyderabad: Public trust is the foundation of policing, said Cyberabad police commissioner Dr M. Ramesh, while addressing a special interactive session with sub-inspectors at the Cyberabad police commissionerate on Wednesday.

Addressing SIs as the first point of contact for citizens, the commissioner emphasised the need for courteous behaviour towards complainants and responsible handling of grievances. “Every complaint must be treated with seriousness so that the confidence amongst the public in the police system grows stronger,” he said.

Dr Ramesh also urged officers to prioritise community policing and work closely with citizens to resolve local issues. He also said, “SIs must ensure transparency and impartiality in investigations.

Corruption will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Police personnel must strictly follow discipline and ethical standards and emerge as role models for society.”

He also emphasised effective night patrolling, proactive action in maintaining law and order and handling traffic issues.

Senior officers, Kukatpally DCP Ritiraj, Serilingampally DCP C.H. Srinivas and Qutbullapur DCP Koti Reddy also were present on the occasion.
