KNRUHS Cancels Final MBBS Surgery Exam, Reschedules to April 27

Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences has cancelled the Final MBBS General Surgery Paper-I examination held on April 15 and rescheduled it to April 27 following discrepancies in the question paper. The university said in a press note that the cancellation was necessitated due to a mismatch between the old and new regulations prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) in the MBBS syllabus.

The university stated that certain chapters previously included under General Surgery Paper-I as per old regulations had now been shifted to General Surgery Paper-II under the new regulations. However, questions from the revised Paper-II syllabus appeared in the Paper-I examination conducted on April 15.

Following numerous representations from students highlighting the issue, the university decided to cancel the exam in the interest of fairness and to ensure proper evaluation standards. Officials said the decision was taken keeping in mind that every mark is crucial in final university examinations and to safeguard the academic interests of students.
