Hyderabad, April 17: The Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) has sought clarity from the School Education Department regarding the sale of textbooks within private school campuses.
The association said complaints have been raised by some groups, leading to reported instructions at the field level to shut book counters.
Citing a 2009 government order, TRSMA stated that unaided schools are allowed to sell textbooks on a “no profit, no loss” basis. It also referred to a 2016 High Court ruling that bars authorities from seizing books or sealing counters.
The association has urged officials to follow existing rules and avoid coercive action while addressing complaints.
