Principal chief conservator of forests Inspects Nehru Zoo
Vinay Kumar inspects enclosures, meets keepers on first official visit

Hyderabad; Vinay Kumar, principal chief conservator of forests (Wildlife) and chief wildlife warden, paid his first official visit to Nehru Zoological Park on Thursday after assuming charge. He reviewed the zoo’s functioning and inspected animal enclosures and facilities.
Zoo director Dr Sunil S. Hiremath and curator J. Vasantha welcomed him at the administrative office. The curator presented details of day‑to‑day activities, new initiatives, enclosure construction, animal exchange programmes, adoption schemes and CSR activities planned for the year.
Later, Kumar toured the zoo with officials, inspecting enclosures and night houses. He interacted directly with animal keepers and staff, seeking information on healthcare and management systems in place.
