Prez Leads Leaders in Wishing Telangana

The Prime Minister said the people of Telangana are known for their spirit of innovation and enterprise, while the state is renowned for its rich culture and history marked by courage and determination.

NEW DELHI/AMARAVATI: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the people of Telangana on the occasion of the state’s formation day, noting its significant progress in innovation and development over the years.

Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also extended their greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion.

Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh and attained statehood on June 2, 2014.

“Warm greetings to the people of Telangana on Statehood Day! Telangana is blessed with a rich cultural heritage and hardworking people. The state has made significant strides in innovation and development over the years. I wish the people of Telangana continued progress and well-being,” Murmu said in a post on X.

Greeted the people of the state Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the Centre’s commitment to supporting Telangana’s growth and contributing to the vision of a developed India.

“Greetings to the people of Telangana on the special occasion of Telangana Statehood Day,” Modi said in a post on X.

The Prime Minister said the people of Telangana are known for their spirit of innovation and enterprise, while the state is renowned for its rich culture and history marked by courage and determination.

“The Central government is committed to supporting Telangana’s growth trajectory in realising our dream of a Viksit Bharat. Praying for the good health and success of the people of the state,” he said.

Governor Nazeer said, “I extend my hearty greetings and felicitations to the people of Telangana on the occasion of State Formation Day,” in a post on X.

He said Telangana, with its rich cultural heritage, resilience and remarkable progress, has emerged as a vibrant hub of innovation, agriculture and economic growth.

The Governor expressed hope that the state would continue to prosper and achieve greater heights in development, peace and prosperity.

Naidu said that although Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were formed as separate states, the Telugu community would always remain united.

“Twelve years have passed since the formation of the two Telugu states. Though they were formed as two separate states based on regions, the entire Telugu community will always remain one,” he said in a post on X.

He noted that Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should compete in development and progress rapidly while preserving the rich history and cultural heritage of the Telugu people.

Naidu said Hyderabad and Amaravati should emerge among the world's leading cities and that the benefits of development should reach every Telugu family.

The Chief Minister emphasised that both states should work together towards the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047 and play a key role in enhancing the prominence and glory of the Telugu people.
