The owners of poultry farms are worried over sudden death of chickens in large numbers. They are taking precautionary steps to avoid the spreading of the virus.
Virus affected poultry farms reportedly fast spread the disease to the nearest poultry farms. Around 11 poultry farms in Pothangal, Navipet, Kammarpally, Bheemgal and Velpur mandal witnessed the sudden death of chickens. The locals believed that ‘Kokkera’ disease might be the reason for the death of chickens.
