Postpartum Woman Dies by Suicide at Nalgonda Government Hospital

According to reports, Mamatha came out of the ward in the early hours of Wednesday and allegedly died by suicide in a shed near the post-mortem hall.

Nalgonda: A 27-year-old postpartum woman allegedly died by suicide on the premises of the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Nalgonda in the early hours of Wednesday.
The deceased, K. Mamatha, was a resident of Chikatimamidi village in Munugode mandal. She had delivered a baby boy at the Mother and Child Hospital at GGH around eight days ago.
According to reports, Mamatha came out of the ward in the early hours of Wednesday and allegedly died by suicide in a shed near the post-mortem hall.
She already had three daughters. The reason behind her taking the extreme step was not immediately known. Police are investigating the incident.
