Ponguleti slams Oppn for baseless criticism
Laying down the stone for a CC road at Tirumalayapalem in the district, he said grama sabhas are conducted to correct mistakes, if any. There was no truth in their allegations that irregularities took place in the selection of beneficiaries

Khammam: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Thursday came down heavily on the opposition for its hue and cry over selection of beneficiaries for four new welfare schemes introduced by the government for their political gain.
Laying down the stone for a CC road at Tirumalayapalem in the district, he said grama sabhas are conducted to correct mistakes, if any. There was no truth in their allegations that irregularities took place in the selection of beneficiaries.
The BRS leaders are unable to digest the increasing popularity of the Congress government due to its welfare schemes and aretrying to misguide people with baseless allegations.
He clarified that the final list of beneficiaries would be released after the scrutiny of applications received at ongoing grama sabhas.
People need not worry over the implementation of welfare schemes. The state government has taken every care to cover all eligible families. People should not worry if their names are not found in the lists announced at grama sabhas. They should again submit their applications at the grama sabha, he added. The process of selection of the beneficiaries is a continuous process, he added.
He said grama sabhas are being conducted to ensure transparency in selection of beneficiaries. Even though massive debts were inherited from the BRS government, the state government is committed to fulfilling its promises, he added.
He felt that Rythu Bharosa and Indira Atmeeya Bharosa would become role models for the entire country in welfare of farmers and landless agricultural workers.
He promised that CC roads would be laid to every lane and street in Palair Assembly constituency by monsoon season. Roads that were damaged due to floods would be repaired at the earliest. He directed the officials to complete the CC roads at jogulapadu and Hyderasaipeta as early as possible.
