Ponguleti Launches Rs 59.62 Crore Development Works In Mahabubabad

Of the total amount, projects worth Rs 24.13 crore were launched to improve urban infrastructure and living conditions. WARANGAL: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday laid foundation stones for development works worth Rs 59.62 crore in Mahabubabad district, saying Telangana was implementing welfare and development programmes on an unprecedented scale.

Of the total amount, projects worth Rs 24.13 crore were launched to improve urban infrastructure and living conditions. Accompanied by Chief Minister’s advisor Vem Narender Reddy, MP Porika Balaram Naik and MLA Bhukya Murali Naik, the minister visited several wards to inaugurate road and drainage works.

Among the major projects were `7 crore for the beautification of Bandham Cheruvu, Rs 12 crore for drainage works in Hasthinapuram Colony to prevent flooding and Rs 1 crore for development of the Bodrai Centre and the bus stand road near More Super Market. Several internal CC roads and drainage canals were also launched, with allocations ranging from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 3 crore.

Addressing the gathering, Srinivas Reddy said the government, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy leadership, is focusing equally on urban and rural development while fulfilling its election promises. He said the government was committed to ensuring that infrastructure growth and welfare measures reached every section of society through transparent administration.

In-charge Collector Lenin Vatsap Toppo, RDO Krishnaveni and Municipal commissioner Rajeshwar, among others, were present.
