Ponguleti Launches BT Road, Bridge Works
The minister stressed the need to take measures to ensure that rains do not affect the execution of development works.

Nalgonda: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday directed officials to ensure quality and timely completion of development works to make them available for public use.
Laying the foundation stone for a BT road and bridge at Dubba Thanda in Kusumanchi mandal of Khammam district, being taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 16.13 crore, he said the government aimed to provide a permanent solution to transportation problems in rural areas. He said improving road connectivity to tribal hamlets remained a priority, as people faced difficulties due to muddy roads and overflowing streams during the monsoon.
He said construction of quality roads and bridges would facilitate easier commuting and improve access to emergency services, education and agriculture-related activities.

Earlier, he laid the foundation stone for a BT road from Lalsingh Thanda to Nereduvai at a cost of Rs 2.03 crore. He also launched works for two bridges on the Kondapuram-Motapuram road via Jeellacheruvu, with an estimated outlay of Rs 7.50 crore.
District collector Divakara T.S. and Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt were present.
