The decision was made during a review meeting chaired by revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy at the Secretariat on Saturday: Reports

HYDERABAD: In a move aimed at enhancing public service delivery, the state government has decided to restructure the sub-registrar offices, incorporating corporate-level, state-of-the-art facilities. The project will begin in four districts, including Hyderabad, with the foundation stone for the first integrated sub-registrar office in Gachibowli set to be laid soon.

The decision was made during a review meeting chaired by revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy at the Secretariat on Saturday.

The initiative follows the implementation of a slot booking system for property registrations by the stamps and registration department, which has improved service delivery for citizens. With the latest move, the government aims to provide more transparent, efficient and accessible services by consolidating the sub-registrar offices and equipping them with modern infrastructure.

Srinivas Reddy discussed the reform measure along with revenue secretary D.S. Lokesh Kumar and stamps and registration IG Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu. He said said that the restructuring should align with the vision of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to ensure that public services were delivered without causing any inconvenience to the citizens.

He also pointed out that the goal was to ensure public satisfaction with the services, and officers were directed to focus on seamless operations while building the new office complexes.

Minister Srinivas Reddy said that discussions would be held with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to finalise the building design, and efforts will be made to begin construction as soon as possible.
