Poll Officials Ensure Safety of Ballot Boxes in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Ballot boxes for the Graduates and Teachers MLC elections were securely sealed in the strong room at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar on Friday. Under the supervision of returning officer, district collector Pamela Satpathy, and election observers Benher Mahesh Dath Ekka and Buddha Prakash Jyothi, the boxes — arriving from various districts since Thursday night — were stored separately for easy identification during counting.
The collector confirmed that special police forces, round-the-clock CCTV surveillance, and fire safety measures have been deployed to ensure security. Counting is scheduled to begin on March 3, following the sequence of polling stations, while the Model Code of Conduct remains in effect until March 8.
