Adilabad: Political leaders of the BJP, Congress and BRS are allegedly using the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad, for financial benefit and political gains.
Sources said nearly 700 outsourcing employees are on RIMS rolls, with one agency recruiting 420 and another 100 as nursing, patient care, technical, security and housekeeping staff across the hospital, super speciality wing and hostels.
The nexus between contractors and political leaders is evident in Adilabad, affecting the quality of services at RIMS.
District Employment Department authorities are supposed to oversee recruitment, but nearly 15 outsourcing employees are reportedly working at local leaders’ houses and offices while drawing salaries from RIMS.
