Police Seize DJ System at Idol Installation
Chaitanyapuri police seize sound system, vehicle; issue safety rules

Hyderabad: Chaitanyapuri police booked the DJ operators and an event organiser for illegally setting up a sound system in Mohannagar and seized the DJ equipment, along with the vehicle.
Police reminded that, as per Telangana High Court orders, DJs are strictly prohibited during Ganesh festivities, and any violation will attract action. “If DJs are found, operators and owners will be booked and the equipment and vehicles seized,” a senior officer said.
Issuing safety guidelines, police advised organisers to use normal sound speakers instead of DJs. They also suggested installing CCTV cameras around pandals, keeping a first-aid box and fire extinguishers ready, and displaying emergency helpline numbers at the premises. Committees have been directed to register details of their pandals on the Telangana Police portal (https://policeportal.tspolice.gov.in/) for coordination and monitoring.
Police appealed to Ganesh Utsav organisers to cooperate in ensuring safe and peaceful celebrations. The measures are aimed at maintaining law and order, public safety and reducing noise pollution during the festive season.
