Police Seek Custody of Prime Accused in Advocate Murder Case
Police said Mahbub Alam Khan could use his influence and might tamper evidence if freed on bail.

Hyderabad: Investigators probing into the murder of advocate and Wakf activist Khaja Moizuddin have filed a petition for the police custody of the prime accused, Mahbub Alam Khan.
The custody petition, filed in the VII Additional Metropolitan Session Court in Nampally, was filed as a counter to the bail petition filed by Alam Khan’s counsel. Police said Mahbub Alam Khan could use his influence and might tamper evidence if freed on bail. The court, on Saturday, after hearing both parties, scheduled the hearing for June 22, police sources disclosed.
