Hyderabad: Days after Rajkumar Rao's Stree 3 trailer got released, social media has been swamped with videos and discussions of a "Jalpally ki Chudail" after a social media user uploaded videos of being chased by a chudail until he was severely injured and admitted to a private hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.
While discussions about the chudail have been unending for the past couple of days, locals give a very varied view of a story being cooked up on social media.
In the video, a local is seen travelling on a bike, when he reached RR Masala Katcha Road, he was suddenly chased by an alleged chudail. An audio clip consisting of a man narrating the alleged incident also consists of loud crying noises, sounds of footsteps on dry grass and a woman in ankle bracelets.
However, when Deccan Chronicle contacted, the Pahadi Shareef police dismissed the claims and said no such complaint had been registered.
A local from Masjid-e-Muhiyyas Sunnah, Ufran Rabbani, said, “This is all fake. They recorded a thin man for fun and have now created such rumours to scare people. Nothing like that exists. People do a lot of things for views.”
Another local shop owner, Md Assamoddin said, “Nothing like this even exists. We have never seen it, it's a rumour. How can one even record a ghost?”
