Police identified the armed assailants natives of Bihar

The two armed assailants wanted in the Afzalgunj shooting as well as the `93 lakh ATM heist in Bidar, belong to Hajipur of Bihar state, police sources said on Sunday. The duo was traced from the Bihar-registered bike they had abandoned at the MGBS parking lot. Police identified them as Manish and Amit Kumar.
Sources said police teams had gone to Hajipur and found that the bike owner was a milk seller and a friend of the duo. Manish and Amit had borrowed the bike, sources said. There is now a suspicion that the duo may have crossed over to Nepal.
Police said the duo had travelled from Hajipur to Bidar on the bike, shot dead a cash van guard, stole `93 lakh and then reached the city. They parked the vehicle at the MGBS stand and attempted to buy their getaway bus tickets. When they failed, they opened fire at a travels company manager and flet. Their last known sighting was at Trimulgherry.
