Police Book Sandhya Convention MD for Forgery
Sridhar Rao accused of forging property papers, cheating a Delhi firm

Hyderabad: The economic offence wing (EOW) of the Cyberabad police booked a case against Sridhar Rao, the managing director of Sandhya Convention, who allegedly forged property documents to cheat a Delhi-based real estate firm of Rs 14 crore in a business deal.
The case was registered against Rao following a complaint by Athena Projects Private Limited, whose representative alleged that Rao fabricated documents to mislead the company in their dealings, resulting in financial loss.
Police said the firm had prior business transactions with the accused, during which the alleged fraud took place. Investigators are examining whether forged papers were used to secure financial gain.
Rao is already facing criminal cases in other police stations. During the probe, EOW teams found that he allegedly threatened the complainant by posing as a senior police officer, police said.
