Police Body Condemns KTR’s Remarks On DGP, Demands Apology

HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Police Officers Association on Wednesday condemned the inappropriate and vulgar comments made by the BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao against the Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivadhar Reddy.

In a statement, the association president Y. Gopi Reddy said that Rama Rao was giving an interview to a news channel. During his conversation, the BRS MLA made objectionable comments on the DGP and insulted the senior IPS officer and DG rank officer.

“The Telangana Police is working with unprecedented vigilance. We give priority to the law and the people. The police department works impartially. We give utmost priority to maintaining peace and security. In all the incidents mentioned by them, the police have registered cases as per the law. We have arrested the accused in the cases of robbery and murder very quickly. There is nothing to object to in the performance of the police. We remind you to question them politely and politely if you have to question them,” Gopi Reddy said.

The association demanded that Rama Rao immediately withdraw his objectionable remarks made against the DGP in view of the politically motivated incidents and tender his apology.
