Police Begin Checks at Sensitive Areas
Leaves cancelled, round-the-clock checks underway in sensitive districts as precautionary measures intensify

Hyderabad: In view of the tense situation along the country's borders, police officials have intensified checking at sensitive areas, including inter-district and inter-state borders to prevent untoward incidents. Senior officials have asked all unit officers to keep a vigil on sensitive localities by conducting regular checks. The district police have taken precautionary measures to protect citizens and maintain law and order.
In tri-police commissionerates, the police patrolling has been intensified day and night. Police checks have been conducted in Nagarkurnool, Gadwal, Medak, Nalgonda and Suryapet districts among others.
Suryapet SP Narasimha said police teams, including the dog squad, bomb squad personnel conducted checks at bus stands, national highways, flyovers, business complexes and important intersections in the Suryapet district.
"We have also alerted all the personnel across the district, in view of the government's orders, we have canceled the leaves of the police and directed them to be on duty round the clock and we are conducting extensive checks in major cities," he said.
Following the inputs, the senior officials also asked the district police to conduct checks at the inter district border and inter-state border places including RTC buses.
