Pochampally Calls On BRS Cadre To Secure Victory In Graduates’ MLC Polls

He said dedicated efforts could help party workers register a large number of graduates as voters within three days.

Warangal:MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy has called on BRS leaders and workers to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and ensure the victory of its candidate in the upcoming Graduates’ MLC elections. He said the people of Telangana wanted BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao to return to leadership.

Speaking at an expanded meeting of key party workers at the BRS office in Balasamudram, Hanumakonda, on Saturday, he urged party cadres to treat graduates’ voter registration as a movement and ensure that every eligible person was enrolled.

He said dedicated efforts could help party workers register a large number of graduates as voters within three days.

Criticising the Congress government, Pochampally alleged that it had done nothing for Telangana in the past three years. He accused Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy of focusing on contract-related reviews instead of addressing public grievances.

He also alleged that despite the presence of ministers from the erstwhile Warangal region, the district continued to be dominated by the in-charge minister. Comparing the situation with the previous BRS government, he said MLAs had enjoyed authority over their constituencies during K. Chandrashekar Rao’s tenure, whereas local representatives now had to depend on others to secure funds for development works.

Pochampally urged party leaders to meet graduates working in government departments, educational institutions and other sectors to raise awareness about voter registration. He called for a systematic registration drive in Hanamkonda and urged party workers to secure a decisive victory for the BRS candidate in the forthcoming MLC elections.
